This partnership has been marked with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the President of Yunus Emre Institute, Prof. Şeref Ateş, and the Rector of UIII, Prof. Jamhari. On this special event, Prof. Şeref Ateş came to UIII from Türkiye to sign the MoU. He was also accompanied by H.E. “Through collaboration between UIII and Yunus Emre Institute, we aim to create synergy. Particularly through cultural exchange between Turkey and Indonesia.” Prof. Ateş emphasized, highlighting the key objectives of this partnership.

With this MoU, Yunus Emre Institute will offer Turkish language training to UIII students. The aim of this language training is to facilitate a deeper understanding of Turkish culture among UIII students.

Ambassador H.E. Talip saw this partnership as a beginning in terms of cultural relations between the Republic of Türkiye and Indonesia. He can see this partnership will play a pivotal role in connecting different cultures and nations. “We firmly believe that education, culture, and art play pivotal roles in connecting different cultures and nations,” he noted.

As Indonesia and Turkey approach their 74th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year, Ambassador Talip is optimistic that this MoU will further enhance their relationship, as well as ties between Turkey and UIII.

Furthermore, the partnership between Turkey and UIII was established in 2022. It gives us hope for further cooperation in the future.
